This dahlia is very special to me 🌸
While I was pregnant Erin gifted me a box of tubers. I lived in Texas and had just started a flower farm. I didn’t know if we were moving for sure yet. I was very sick from morning sickness, and could barely keep any of my plants alive.
I brought all of the tubers with me started in 4inch pots when we moved a few months later to Tucson.
I was embarrassed, even after moving across the county, I was only able to keep 2 of the plants alive.
Much to my surprise, I was delighted in October when this dahlia bloomed!
I gave it to my little garden baby. His first flower. ❤️
I have been watching this flower bloom all week, waiting for it to be big enough to cut and give to my little flower buddy again.
Today seemed like the perfect time to cut it, when hearing more episodes of Erin’s show were released. I can’t wait for everyone to watch it, and fall in love with growing flowers. Thank you Erin for sharing your flowers with us!
My goal is and will always be to inspire a love of gardening in my little one. ❤️🌸
