I knew there would be another increase this year. There are typically 2-3 per year BUT I certainly did NOT expect it to be this soon.

Official notifications are rolling out from manufacturers of another 5-8% product increase in JUNE. Mind you, we just had an increase of this same amount the beginning of April on shingles.

I have also been advised of increases on metal products including accessories and gutter material.

Those that know me know that I don't believe in sales tactics. I believe in being truthful and transparent with my homeowners.

This is transparency.

This is me openly telling you that we are living in volatile pricing times. If you have work that your home needs, get it done. Do not put it off and kick the can down the road because we simply have no way of knowing down the road what prices will look like.

So when someone tells you they aren't sure how long a price is good for, it is because we are at the mercy of our distributors who are at mercy of the manufacturers.
This is not just about one company

This is not about one industry

It is ALL of them.

When official letters become available, I will provide them

But at the end of the day, more important than the brand of a product or the final price you pay is the person building it or installing it.

I do not sell jobs on price. If someone only cares about the bottom dollar, I am NOT the woman for the job. But if someone wants to KNOW they are getting a good product, not being charged outrageously AND have someone that will be picky about the workmanship..... then I AM the woman for the job.

I would sit down and have a meal with EVERY single homeowner I do a job for. And I would hope they would feel the same.

This isn't just a way to feed my family, it is a way to protect yours too!

Metal Roofs are NOT maintenance free. Most need new fasteners after 8-12 years as the grommet cracks and weathers BUT they may also need replacement early due to faulty installation. There are many factors that play into how long they will last. Make sure you are having routine roof inspections every few years to keep peace of mind and damage free interiors!
