I enjoy using wood veneer to create custom pieces. Here is on of my latest creations. I made an end table using one of my designs. The materials used for the table are: a solid walnut base, solid walnut edge, sapele pomele, Carpathian elm burl, curly maple, African mahogany ribbon, and a combination of basic walnut and cherry veneers. I hope you like it and please “like” it 😄👍🏽

I had the opportunity to work on a distinctive project, creating a custom base for Frederic Re*****on's famous bronze statue, "The Bronco Buster". This piece is exhibited alongside another remarkable bronze work by Re*****on, "The Rattlesnake". As a celebrated American artist, Re*****on was acclaimed for his captivating and dynamic portrayals of the American West, which often highlighted the lives and struggles of cowboys, Native Americans, and the vast, sweeping landscapes of the frontier.

The tile had to be cut around the floor flanges for the newel posts and it needed a bit of ingenuity to make it look better.

Here’s what I came up with. How would you have addressed it?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’ve been busy and have lots of projects to share but I’m not the best at posting. I’m usually jumping to the next challenge on my list and I’ve neglected to share my journey.
