I absolutely love what I do, selling English Transferware at nancysdailydish.net and authoring the blog Nancy's Daily Dish where I write educational posts on the subject, create tablescapes with different transfer ware patterns sharing the histories behind them, and share my love of design, cooking, poetry and appreciation of beautiful things. After 34 years of marriage I am still crazy in love with my husband, the six children and one grandchild we have. Thank you for visiting me here on Facebook!

I dream in plate walls! 🌷😊🌸🤣Do you?

A little bit English cottage, a little bit collected-over-time charm, and a whole lot of transferware obsession. From blue & white to rich vintage florals, I truly believe a plate wall can make a house feel layered, personal, and lived in — like it’s been telling stories for generations. Plates can be art!
These are some of my favorite plate walls I’ve created recently in that cozy English traditional style I love so much. Do you have a plate wall?

If you love plate walls…

English cottage plate wall dreams 🤍
Antique transferware, vintage china, and collected pieces thoughtfully arranged into ready-to-hang wallscapes. Some available as complete curated walls, others individually — or let me create a custom arrangement just for your home. There’s something magical about a plate wall… the layers, the history, the feeling that each piece has lived a life before finding its place together.
The collecting and layering is my favorite part… bringing timeless pieces together in a way that feels gathered over generations.

“How wonderful yellow is. It stands for the sun.” Vincent Van Gogh

There’s something about yellow and green together that just feels like a breath of fresh air…Sunlight dancing across a garden, new growth unfolding, a quiet kind of joy that fills a room@without asking.
Yellow for warmth, joy and light.
Green for growth, renewal, and harmony.
Together, they tell a story of optimism—of homes that feel lived in, lived, and layered with pieces that bring you back to what matters most.
This instant platewall is a moment of sunshine you can hang on your wall 🍃 ✨
Available on my website.

Cozy home views💖✨

A little collection of the spaces and details that make a house feel layered, lived-in, and loved. From English cottage style interiors and antique transferware to vintage treasures, Staffordshire dogs, collected ironstone, and timeworn decor, these are the cozy corners that inspire me most.
I’ve always believed decorating with antiques and vintage pieces creates a home with soul — one that tells a story through patina, history, and the charm of collected decor gathered over time rather than bought all at once. Whether it’s blue and white transferware stacked in a cabinet, old English pottery on a shelf, floral textiles, or a favorite antique tucked into a quiet corner, these classic home details never go out of style.
This reel is simply a glimpse into the cozy cottage aesthetic I love so much… layered interiors, traditional decorating, English country house inspiration, vintage collections, and the beauty of surrounding yourself with pieces that feel meaningful and timeless. 🤍

I love a slow Sunday, fresh hydrangeas, and pieces collected over time. It reminds me…
Peace isn’t found in perfection—-it’s built in the quiet, meaningful moments.
Every plate, every shelf, every picture, every bloom tells a little story.

Save this for a little Sunday calm + inspiration.

Ok, y’all keep asking to see house pics, so here are a few. The house had recently been painted this grayish-blue before we moved in, and while it wasn’t originally what I would have chosen, it’s really grown on us. Since repainting the entire house isn’t in the cards right now, I decided to lean into the existing colors instead. I chose a beautiful green for the front door and had the custom sheds I designed painted to coordinate with the house.
I painted the front door about a week ago and I LOVE the shade of green I picked… even more now that I’ve seen it on the door in person.
Pic 2 is one of the sheds being delivered.
Pic 3 is the side of the house when we first moved in.
Pic 4 is after clearing out all the overgrowth and shrubs.
Pic 5 is where the fun starts… let the planting begin! 🌿🤣

Friday Finds ✨
I’ve been putting together and designing some more instant platewalls lately and they’re turning out so pretty! There’s something about a collected wall of old plates that just makes a house feel layered and loved. 💙
A few favorites this week:
• the cutest blue and white cow head wall pockets
• beautiful French transferware
• a hard-to-find yellow transferware hunting scene plate by Spode
• and lots of other lovely old pieces finding their way in around here.
In between all the treasure hunting, I finally finished painting the front door and got a wreath hung on it (will post a sneak peek in stories)! Now I’m working on planting some boxwoods in the yard and trying to make everything feel a little more pulled together outside too.
I sure wish I had the energy I had in my 30’s… the mind is willing but the body (and wallet 😂) aren’t always cooperating these days!
Hope y’all are finding a little beauty in your week too. 🤍
