After all the dust settles, it is always a good idea to verify there is not hidden damage to your home after a storm. Often times siding and shingles can be damaged in ways that cannot be seen to the naked eye unless inspected up close. View the photos below to see the damage that helped one of my clients in Tuscaloosa get a new roof through his insurance company; all he paid was his deductible!

Leaks can sometimes take months or even years to show in some circumstances and when you finally notice the stain on your ceiling, often times it can be too late to get your insurance company to cover it.

Fun fact: Most carriers have a time limit on filing claims to 1-2 years from the date of the storm. Ask your agent!
