About wrapped in Whitehouse on the 2 Tiny home projects

09/25/2026

Prep day makes or breaks the paint job. 🛠️🎨

We officially kicked off a new project today prepping and masking the interiors of TWO tiny homes.
A lot of guys rush straight to the spray gun, but real quality is all in the preparation. Floors are fully protected, edges are taped tight, and every surface is prepped right before the first coat hits the pine.
Watch for the before-and-after photos once these transformations are wrapped up!

⚠️ This home wasn’t even 4 years old…
and the shower was already FAILING.

Water damage. Mold. Bad workmanship.
All hidden behind “new construction.”

We tore it down to the studs and rebuilt it the RIGHT way. 💪🏼

✔️ Proper waterproofing system
✔️ Clean tile layout & finish
✔️ Built to last — not just look good

This is the difference between a quick job…
and a job done RIGHT.

If something feels off in your home — soft spots, smells, bad tile work — don’t ignore it. It only gets worse.

It started with soft spots… peeling floors… and uneven areas 👀”

Homeowner thought it was just flooring…
but underneath was a bigger problem.

💥 Apex pulled it all up and found:
❌ Weak, failing subfloor
❌ Moisture damage
❌ Uneven structure

⸻

💪🏼 We didn’t patch it… we FIXED it RIGHT:

✔️ Full demo down to the structure
✔️ Leveled and corrected the flooring system
✔️ Installed Advantech subfloor (built to last)
✔️ Finished with 6 mil LVP flooring

⸻

🔥 Now look at it…
Solid. Level. Clean. Built the right way.

⸻

🧠 Real talk:

Most guys would’ve laid new flooring right over that mess…

👉 We don’t do shortcuts.

⚠️ This was a NEW build… less than 4 years old.

The homeowner called us because the smell was unbearable —
mold was spreading, trim was damaged, and the shower was failing.

Once we opened it up, we found the problem:

❌ Shower pan liner was leaking
❌ Not installed correctly from the start
❌ Water had been getting trapped and causing damage

We tore everything out down to the studs, removed all mold, and rebuilt it the RIGHT way:

✔️ Full demo & remediation
✔️ Schluter waterproofing system installed properly
✔️ New shower pan with correct slope
✔️ Custom tile layout + niche + ceiling finish

This isn’t just a remodel —
this is protecting your home from future damage. 💯

👉 Just because it’s new doesn’t mean it was built right.

If your shower smells musty, feels soft, or shows signs of damage…
don’t wait.
