It is with a heavy heart I inform you of the Passing of Val Della Pello Sr. As the founder and President of Della Pello Paving he worked tirelessly from 1956 till his retirement in 2004. He was a leader in the Industry, respected by all and set the standards for quality in Asphalt Pavements of which is still the trademark of Della Pello Paving. He loved the buisness. He loved the people and loved the challenge. During his career in the industry he served on many committees associated with the NJAPA which involved working with the NJDOT on improving all aspects of highway construction, paving and safety on New Jersey State Highways.
In 2008 Val Sr was inducted into the NJAPA Hall of Fame. An honor so deserved and cherished by a man that gave his life too an Industry that so respected him. He was my friend. He was my mentor. He is my father.
Rest in peace Dad. 🙏
