Resting Twitch Lights "Electric Gooseneck" One of two lamps used in a set of room transformations today for survivors of child abuse. The goal is to transform the room physically so it is once again a safe space for the child. Bespoke lighting based on their interests and preferences is a further way to personalize the new look and feel. One of a kind artwork made specifically for them.
Not a traditional wall sconce for this individual. Nope, he is a fan and practitioner of electric guitars. Utilizing the former amp input he is now able to add light to his music. The LED bulb is controlled via a dimmer switch disguised as one of the three control k***s built into the guitar. The lamp wire snakes under the fret board until it feeds into the stainless gooseneck lamp. Allowing him to adjust the direction of the light as desired.

This young lady happens to like penguins. So, taking inspiration from a popular animated movie about penguins "High 1" is no longer just a flipper version of a High 5. It is also a light to spread warmth and creativity. The craft glass penguin sits upon a wooden base with the lamp growing up through a crystalline stalagmite.

Resting Twitch Lights "E&D's Golden Light" custom crafted diorama lamp. Designed for a collector of antiques and an aficionado of Midas. Inside of the vintage penny machine Scotland's wealthiest duck stands proudly surrounded by his gold. Backlit with a golden light which is controlled via the coin mechanism handle. While on top of the machine stands the more traditional lamp.
Specifically made for and presented to friends as a celebration of their newly opened vintage store and precious metals exchange. Located in the historic Bracken Village San Antonio, TX.

PS Captain Morgan was retained as the OSC (Official Security Cat) during the final assembly. To ensure safety of the gold prior to delivery.

Resting Twitch Lights "Rescue & Rewire"
This gorgeous hanging lamp was presented to me in a much different way. The green lens plates were taped together in a stack. The main body was tied together with an old piece of cloth. Thankfully all that was required to return solidity to this portion was replacing one missing bolt and tightening the other bolts connecting each piece to its neighbors. Finally, the crown piece with the light socket was jumbled up in the chain and old lamp wire. With the addition of several spider egg sacs attached inside the cap and to the fully rusted lamp stem.
As mentioned above tweaking the main body of the lamp and sliding the lenses into their slots was quick and easy. Far easier than I expected. To bring the lamp back to life I completely updated the electrical parts from socket to plug. Using a gold braid cloth covered wire to maintain a vintage feel. Along with a simple on/off inline switch and replica plug. Both in matching gold.
What began as a questionable project piece carried in a bag is once again an outstanding antique hanging lamp.

Resting Twitch Lights "We Are All...Let Our Light Shine" This was a special build for a long time friend. Who used to be my neighbor and occasionally babysat by my oldest brother. So, yes, it has been a few years since we met. She was always quite adventurous. With an ongoing love of all things Wonder Woman.
Her lamp contains two variations of WW posed on top of clear acrylic stands. Displayed inside of a silver toned lamp. The interior bulb is controlled by an inline dimmer switch.

Resting Twitch Lights "A lite vacuum, please"
I was requested to craft a lamp that would be fun, practical and in theme with the cleaning service industry. It will be given as a gift of appreciation to the founder of a local NB Cleaning nonprofit. Without hesitation this wonderful nonprofit steps in to assist individuals and families who are having a difficult time maintaining their home due to serious injury or hospice status.
I was able to utilize the original vacuum power switch to now control the light inset into the brush attachment. Then mounted on a stained cedar corbel to provide elevation for the lamp.
The majority of components I use in crafting lamps come from estate sales and thrift stores. Shopping online gives access to a wide assortment of bulbs, switches and wiring to bring light to what would otherwise be a fun sculpture.
In this example I know exactly where the wood, vacuum and brush attachment came from. The owners of whom all happen to be friends with the individual who ordered the lamp. Thanks to y'all for helping me acquire pieces to bring dreams to light.

Resting Twitch Lights "Musical Enlightenment" A collection of lamps I designed and crafted for three individuals who truly helped shape my appreciation and participation in choir and band. In my elementary years Mrs. Candy Johnson provided a foundation to appreciate listening. Musicians like: Simon and Garfunkel, ABBA, Peter Paul & Mary. Alongside her own piano playing and choral leadership.
Middle School found me learning how to play an old, well used trumpet under the tutelage of Mr. Michael Rosbarsky. Our concerts weren't up to Carnegie Hall standards. His goal was to impart a strong foundation of how to play and to enjoy doing so.
High School was another notch up where I was provided a brand new silver tone double French Horn. Mr. Gary Gillett was and is a phenomenal musician who continued to impart a love for music into his students. And, if you were unsure exactly how a part was supposed to sound. He would pick up his trombone and blow the part at you without missing a beat or transposition.
The mini grand piano has lights inset under the sounding board to shine through onto a stage. The vintage candy jar is filled with realistic miniature candy and mounted on a piece of Texas Mesquite.
The clarinet can function as a fun nightlight with its flickering bulb. And a built in music holder to display a favorite picture or that note you can't afford to forget.
The final lamp utilizes French Horn rotary valves mounted on mesquite.
