This is one of those things that sounds almost too simple, but it makes SUCH a difference.

If shoes always land by the door… put the shoe system there. If papers always end up on the kitchen counter… give them a spot right there. If everyone drops their stuff in the same place every day… stop fighting it and work with it. 😅

A good organizing system shouldn’t require you to suddenly become a completely different person.

It should make the habits you already have easier, cleaner, and less chaotic.

That’s usually when a home finally starts staying organized.

26/10/2026

If overnight guests were coming tomorrow, I would absolutely NOT spend the whole day trying to make my house perfect. 😂

I’d focus on the things that actually make people feel comfortable:

• Fresh sheets
• An empty spot for their stuff
• Extra towels where they can find them
• A little space in the bathroom
• Water + an easy snack nearby
• A clear kitchen counter in the morning

And the 3 things I would not stress about?

A spotless baseboard.
A perfectly styled house.
Whether every random drawer is organized.

People remember how your home felt way more than whether it looked perfect.

Comfort wins every time. 🫶🏻

22/10/2026

These are the spots that slowly collect random things until one day you actually look at them and think…why is ALL of this here? 😂

The good news: none of these need a full afternoon.

Pick one. Set a 10-minute timer. Toss the obvious junk, put away what belongs somewhere else, and be done.

Those tiny forgotten spaces add up fast, so clearing even a couple can make your home feel noticeably lighter.

Save this for the next time you’re in the mood for a quick little reset.

I wouldn’t start organizing anything yet. I’d start by getting rid of the stuff that’s making the whole space harder to deal with in the first place.

These are usually the first things I’d look for:

Expired products hiding in the back
Duplicates you always reach past
Broken things you keep meaning to fix Clothes that fit but you never actually wear Hobby or project supplies for a “someday” that keeps getting pushed
Random things that get moved from spot to spot because they don’t really have a home

None of these sound huge on their own, but together they take up a lot of space and create a lot of extra decisions.

Once those are out, organizing gets so much easier because now we’re only dealing with the things you actually use, need, and want in your home.

That’s always where I’d recommend starting. 🫶🏻

After helping clients declutter homes they’ve lived in for years, these are 6 things I see all the time:

-The obvious clutter usually isn’t the hardest part.
-People almost always have more duplicates than they think.
-So much clutter comes from “I’ll deal with it later.”
-The hardest things to let go of often aren’t typically sentimental at all.
-More storage usually won’t fix having too much.
-Most people feel relief way before they miss the stuff.

And #4 really is the one that surprises people.
Sometimes it’s not the memory attached to something that makes it hard to let go. It’s the money you spent, the guilt, or the version of yourself you thought would use it.

That’s why decluttering can feel so personal. And also why it can feel so good once you finally let some of that go. 🫶🏻

The homes that stay organized usually aren’t the ones with the fanciest bins or the biggest closets. Promise. 😉

They’re the ones with simple systems that make everyday life easier.

Things are kept where they’re used. Putting something away is easy. Clutter gets dealt with before it turns into a whole project. And when a system keeps failing, they change the system instead of assuming they’re just “bad at organizing.”

You just need a few habits that make your home easier to keep up with.

Save this one and try adding just one or two this week.

08/10/2026

No one wants to spend their entire Saturday aggressively decluttering a house. 😂

The good news is you really don’t have to.

If I wanted my home to feel noticeably lighter by Sunday night, I’d focus on the little things that give you a quick win.
That’s enough.

Sometimes one productive hour and one bag leaving the house changes the whole mood.

And then you can go enjoy your weekend like a normal person.

05/10/2026

If you hired me to organize your home tomorrow, I promise I would not walk in with a label maker and start buying bins. 😅

I’d start by looking for the things that are quietly making your home harder to manage.

These are 7 I’d probably want gone first:
The “I might return this” pile that’s been sitting there for 3 months

Random cords no one can identify

Clothes you keep because they still fit, even though you never wear them

Duplicate kitchen tools you always reach past

Half-used products you already replaced

Kids’ things they’ve clearly outgrown but no one has dealt with yet

Anything you keep moving from room to room because it doesn’t really have a home

Those things seem small, but together they create a lot of visual noise and a lot of extra decisions.

And that’s usually where I start.

Once you create a little breathing room, the organizing part gets so much simpler. 🫶🏻

01/10/2026

If you were my best friend and told me your house already felt like a lot…I would not tell you to start decluttering every closet before the holidays. 😅

I’d tell you to look at the spaces that are already making everyday life harder.

The counter that catches everything.
The entry that feels chaotic.
The pantry you can’t find anything in.
The room you keep shutting the door on.

Pick one.

Make that space easier to use, easier to reset, and easier to live with.

Lets make your home feel lighter now, so the last few months of the year actually feel more enjoyable when life gets busier. 🫶🏻

28/09/2026

Fall has entered the chat…which apparently means I suddenly want to clean out a closet, wash every blanket I own, and pretend the junk drawer has never happened. 😂

You do not need to do all 15 things this weekend!

Pick 3. Maybe 5 if you’re feeling ambitious.

The whole point is to give your home a little reset before the busier months start piling on more stuff, more schedules, more guests, more everything.

A few small wins now can make your house feel SO much better heading into fall.

And yes, I fully support rewarding yourself with a fall drink afterward. 🍂

Save this and work your way through it this month.
