I just finished this kitchen island. I tried something a little different on this one. Rather than my usual black stain on the beadboard, I tried “Standard Gray” by Minwax. The top is a pretty spalted maple and all the side posts and door frames are oak. It’s 64” long x 35.5” high and 32” deep. If you think this might look nice in your home, it’ll soon be available to buy at Endeavors Our Gathered Home. I found this beat up sofa table (or hall table) at a flea market, the top was completely destroyed, but I could see potential with some work. It has a nice, deep drawer and sturdy cast iron legs. I replaced the top with one made of ash, the grain is particularly pretty. It’s 36-1/2” tall and 42” long. It’ll be available to buy at Endeavors Our Gathered Home the weekend of February 7th - 9th.

This dining table is made of sycamore. At 96” long, you can comfortably fit 8 people. It’s 36” at the widest point and it’s 29-1/2” high. I have a weakness for cracks in wood, I think they really add something. This crack is filled with epoxy and the wooden butterflies/bow ties will prevent it from cracking any further at either end. Haven’t posted in awhile. I had a couple of people tell me, “I like your furniture, I’m just not crazy about the live edge part.” Well, here’s one of the first things I’ve made specifically to be sold. I couldn’t just let it look plain, so I had to put a small contrasting inlay at each end. It’s made from oak and I repurposed some funky old legs I found. I’m going to be interested in hearing what people think. The table is 80” long x 30-3/4” wide x 39-3/4” high. It’ll be available to buy this weekend at Endeavors Our Gathered Home!

It’s been a busy week here, trying to take advantage of the warmer weather. I just finished this bar - this one has an ash top with oak sides. Newly finished! This table is the perfect blend of durable beauty. The top is made from ash and has a very nice grain to it. The legs and trestle are made of sturdy oak and are something I designed myself, looking to do something just a bit different. Another red cedar coffee table, made from the same tree! It’s finished and ready to go to a new home. If it were any bigger, my wife would’ve tried to keep for our house. Boy, there’s just something about the color and the grain of this red cedar that I just love!
