We’re in Forbes Peru this week! A side of our journey that digs into the business in a way we don’t always get a chance to share..

We started ten years ago in textile design, working alongside 350 women from rural communities across Peru. White-label production for international clients was our first chapter, and is where we also learned the art of export, how to enable new workshops, and a network across regions.

Before the pandemic, we started launching our line of stone objects. Working with artisan workshops in Pacasmayo to carve Andean gemstones into puzzles, decor objects and pieces that could be held and solved and lived with.

Weve been proud to work with retailers like the , and Art of Play. Our pieces also live at MALI — Museo de Arte de Lima and A P U and saqina in Cusco. The export chapter is still evolving but the Peru chapter is really taking shape this year.

Peruvian natural stone is something else. The Andes carry a range of material you find in very few other countries. Angelite, Serpentine; Jasper, Rhodonite, Soapstone, Onyx - each from a different point in the mountainous region we call home. Read more on our blog!

35 years of craftsmanship. A collaboration built to last, in objects with quality and soul.

Meet Luis Iparraguirre Juárez, a master wood artisan from Magdalena de Cao, Peru. Together with DAR Proyectos co-founder Mauricio Navarro, he brings traditional woodworking into contemporary design, transforming local wood and natural stone into handcrafted jewelry boxes, sculptural decor accents and collectible design objects.

What began through an artisan development project has grown into a lasting creative partnership built on shared knowledge, a passion for making and friendship.

For us, this is the beauty of artisan-designer collaboration: traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary vision, embracing the slow-made pace of craft tradition, exploring woods and processes to reveal the character of each material, and building a deeper understanding between wood, stone and the hands that shape them.

Les presentamos a Luis Iparraguirre Juárez, maestro artesano de tallado en madera de Magdalena de Cao, Perú. Junto a Mauricio Navarro, cofundador de DAR Proyectos, lleva la carpintería tradicional al diseño contemporáneo, transformando maderas locales y piedra natural en joyeros hechos a mano, acentos decorativos escultóricos y objetos de diseño coleccionable.

Lo que comenzó a través de un proyecto de desarrollo artesanal se ha convertido en una colaboración creativa duradera, construida sobre el intercambio de conocimientos, la pasión por crear y la amistad sobretodo.

Para nosotros, esta es la belleza de la colaboración entre artesano y diseñador: la artesanía tradicional se encuentra con la visión contemporánea, respetando los tiempos pausados del trabajo artesanal, explorando maderas y procesos para revelar el carácter de cada material y construyendo una conexión más profunda entre la madera, la piedra y las manos que les dan forma.
