Welp, it’s the week of sharing some old art + AND it’s the end of May, so naturally I’m thinking about… mermaids. 🧜‍♀️ Throwing it back to this piece I created for ’s DTIYS challenge during MerMay 2023! I can’t believe it’s been two years …but I still adore her jellyfish crown, tangled hair, and that slightly stressed-out expression (relatable, honestly). 😅⁠

Even though I didn’t get to join in on much of this year, I’ll always love drawing mermaids. ✨
Sharing this now feels like the perfect little nod to past inspiration, and a reminder to keep creating…even when the season is busy!

Calling all ART SUPPORTERS and MURAL LOVERS! Please join us for this innovative fundraiser created by OakdaleArts to raise money for the next mural planned to grace a lucky wall in Oakdale!
Come in to Gallery and pick up a panel (8x8 for adults and 6x6 for kids)-we will give you the first panel, additional panels are a $10 donation each. Create your work of art in the media of your choice and bring it back to Gallery by May 22nd. Join us on May 29th for a reception showing all of the works. The pieces will be available for a donation to OakdaleArts of $40 for 8x8s and $20 for 6x6s. There will also be a silent auction featuring a selection of best pieces entered.
