Father’s Day is just around the corner! 👔 Are you all set with that perfect sentimental gift? 😳 Here’s a brilliant idea you can pull together in no time—if you act quickly! 😉
Start by purchasing and gift wrapping 6 to 8 pairs of NEW blue jeans👖 for Dad. Trust me, skip this step, and your gift might miss the mark! 🤣
Next, gather 6 to 8 of his OLD work jeans—those well-worn pairs are perfect for this project.
Carefully seam rip the OLD pairs apart, then cut the fabric into 2-inch strips.
(*Side Note: The back pockets can be used for future projects. Or sewn onto a decorative throw pillow for Dad‘s easy chair.)
With your strips ready, you’ll start “hobo knotting” them together to form one long, sturdy “rope.” Next, using an extra large crochet hook, chain seven, then link into the end of your chain, creating a circle. Next crochet a chain of three and begin to double crochet, until you run out of denim, or cannot complete another round.
This will become a super-strong, durable, and cozy rug for Dad—and someday, a priceless sentimental heirloom for yourself! ♥️
