Excited to share that JCB Architectural won Best of Houzz 2020 for Service for our residential architectural design work in Somerset, Morris, Hunterdon and surrounding NJ counties! It's been a big year of additions, renovations and custom homes - here's to many more.

I was the lead project architect on the design of this Chatham, NJ craftsman style addition which added a second floor and included interior renovations and a covered rear porch. We specified Hardie siding for its durability, and half round gutters to add historic appeal. One of my favorite details is the clerestory windows on the front and rear, which let in tons of natural light while preserving privacy (you can read more about them here: https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/clerestory-windows-transform-a-room) The home was built by Archuleta Builders of Morristown and designed with my former firm, ASA of Madison.

A bathroom refresh can be a cost effective way to upgrade any home! This one features honeycomb tile, frameless glass and antique brass fixtures. We took it down to the studs and added radiant heat under the ceramic wood flooring, freeing up space by removing a large radiator. Lights from Pottery Barn.
