We received a new donation of some long handle tools for the Library and Gardeners Exchange today: rakes, shovels and brooms. If you need something to use for yard or garden, come on by.
Also, if you are gathering seeds and pods and have some to share, there are empty baby food jars in the shed to use. Please be sure to label them!
As always, we are happy to accept all tools, seeds and gardening books.

Hey there gardeners! How does your garden grow? Have you snuck a zucchini onto your neighbors porch yet? Overrun by tomatoes? Corn coming in?
And just a reminder, if you have more than you could bite off and chew, please consider sharing with the Upton food pantry. Check out their page for days and times for donations. There is no reason anyone should have to go hungry.

Welcome to the Free Seed Library and Gardeners Exchange! We want to help everyone to garden and create your own greenspaces and food sources. We offer free seeds and tools etc. to take or borrow, and our efforts are made possible by donations from the community. We hope we can help you and also count on you to keep us growing.
Before donating, PLEASE see below for acceptable items:

*seeds* (within 2 years of date)-please seal and label packages
*hand tools* pruners, trowels, diggers, weeders, loppers, cutters
*garden tools*- shovels, hoes, rakes, picks, axes, trenchers, edgers, trimmers
*apparel*-work gloves, garden hats, bug nets, tool aprons, knee pads, protection sleeves-NO OTHER CLOTHING
*Garden Aides*-kneelers, tool scooters, tool bags, stakes, twine, labels/markers
*Watering Aides*-sprinkling cans, hose end sprayers, hoses, hose reels. pump sprayers
*Pots/Planters*-grow pots or planters all sizes. Please leave plastic and larger pots on the outside rack against the shed and glass or ceramic pots inside on the shelves.
*Books/Print*-garden, horticulture, vegetables, flower, herbs, landscaping, trees, organics, pollinators, beekeeping, garden magazines

It was brought to our attention that some folks may be confused about the purpose of the Little Free Seed Library and Gardeners Exchange...Apparently, we have recently received some, what appears to be, yard sale leftovers or basement cleanouts.
We accept donations of all things GARDENING. To be clear, that does not mean this is the place to drop off other unwanted items. There is another much larger shed right next to the library where you can donate clothing and similar items. Please read their signage before donating and if your items can't be donated to them, please consider donating to Savers or a similar agency. But remember our purpose is to encourage gardening and supporting the earth and our library is ONLY for seeds and other GARDENING items. Thanks for your understanding!

finally, as your veggies start coming in and if you find yourself with an overabundance, please consider donating to the upton food pantry. no one should have to go hungry and we can all make a difference. Have a great week!

Hello Gardeners!
AT the Little Free Seed Library today we have a nice assortment of pots of many sizes including some hanging baskets! Larger pots are on the shelves outside. Inside, we have an assortment of items including a lawn sprinkler, a handheld seed spreader, a lovely sun hat, books, and some fertilizers. We are a little light on seeds and tools so if anyone has any to donate, we would appreciate it.
