Paint by Panda - Urbana's Hometown Painters Paint by Panda does residential and commercial painting in Champaign and Clark Counties. Our estimates are always free and without obligation.

Paint by Panda does residential and commercial painting in Champaign County and Clark counties. We do interior as well as exterior painting projects, drywall, and water damage repair. It is often the case that we can give general estimates for interior work over the phone. We do creative visual projects such as wall murals as well as conventional painting for commercial and residential customers.

We believe in supporting our community and, when possible, will only purchase our supplies locally. The owners are Joe and Maura (Grogan) Buckalew. Joe began working with a painting and home improvement company while in high school and continued painting to help fund his education while at Miami University. Once graduated, he remained in the trade part time while working in the insurance industry and subsequently in education as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. Joe has now changed career paths and undertaken the challenge of entrepreneurship full time by starting the Panda lines of business in Pics by Panda (personal photography service) and Paint by Panda (simulacrums and original art as well as residential painting). We will not be successful unless our clients are happy with our product and our price.

This makes the third time we've received an industry award since 2020. We've also been awarded the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce people's choice award for Best Paint Service and received the Neighborhood Faves award from Nextdoor.

We had to use a generator to power our sprayer and lights due to the tight timeline they were on after their other house...

We had to use a generator to power our sprayer and lights due to the tight timeline they were on after their other house closed. Despite the challenge we completed the job on time and for about half the cost compared to the other guys.

Painting is one of the activities that is expressly exempted from this order, which makes now the perfect time for businesses that have difficulty scheduling interior painting due to hours of operation conflicts to get that job done. Hire us to paint when you have no customers.
