At A&R Mechanical, we are fortunate to have some truly exceptional people on our team, and today we'd like to recognize one of the very best.

In our Service Department, Dan Myers has been our primary sheet metal craftsman for years. Dan consistently finds a way to keep our projects moving and our customers taken care of. His craftsmanship is outstanding, his attention to detail is second to none, and no matter what challenge is in front of him, he approaches it with a positive attitude and a willingness to get the job done right.

But as impressive as Dan is at work, the role he takes the most pride in is being a dad.

As you'll see in this photo, Dan is raising four amazing young daughters. Anyone who knows Dan knows that his girls are his world. Everything he does is centered around providing for them, supporting them, and setting an example for them.

Being a single parent isn't easy, but Dan handles it with the same dedication, determination, and selflessness that he brings to work every day. His daughters get to see firsthand what hard work, integrity, responsibility, and perseverance look like. That's a lesson that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

We're proud of the work Dan does for A&R Mechanical, but we're even more proud of the example he sets as a father.

Thank you, Dan, for everything you do. Your A&R family appreciates you.

🏗️ Teamwork in action at Purdue University School of Nursing!

At A&R Mechanical, we take pride in delivering high-quality work while keeping safety at the forefront of everything we do.

Our team recently completed a successful crane pick at the Purdue Nursing facility in West Lafayette, safely placing a new air handler unit. Projects like this require careful planning, seamless coordination, and a team that is committed to precision every step of the way.

Great work by everyone involved in making this lift a success! 👏

We want to recognize one of the great members of our Special Projects team, Austin Ferguson, who recently graduated from his apprenticeship program.

Not only has he worked hard to complete the apprenticeship program, but he’s also featured in this News Gazette article highlighting his participation in the United Association VIP Program. We’re proud to see his hard work and dedication being recognized.

Over the last several years, he has become a tremendous asset to our department. Most recently, he stepped into a leadership role and willingly took on the challenge of running a hospital project for our team in Indiana. He approached the opportunity with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and lead — and he’s doing an outstanding job.

It’s always rewarding to watch someone grow in both skill and confidence, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for him.

Congratulations on this accomplishment and thank you for everything you bring to the team.

Returning from overseas military experience can leave veterans facing a challenging adjustment period. Some — including Austin Ferguson and Damian Light — say the trades can help find a new

Last week, we came together for our annual Safety Stand Down and focused on what matters most: protecting our people both on and off the job.

Our theme centered around “Stuff That Can Kill You” (STCKY) , bringing awareness to Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) risks and reinforcing the importance of recognizing hazards before they become life-changing events. From excavation hazards and struck-by risks to stored energy and line-of-fire dangers, the message was simple: slowing down, speaking up, and looking out for each other saves lives.

But safety goes beyond avoiding injuries. We also focused on taking care of ourselves for the long haul, emphasizing mental health & fitness, hydration, burnout awareness, burnout busting, and the importance of protecting our bodies and minds throughout a career in construction. We want our employees to feel their best, work their best, and live their best lives long after the workday ends.

At A&R, safety is more than policies and procedures; it’s a culture of care, accountability, and commitment to a better tomorrow.

You may have also noticed our new safety cartoon mascot, SafetyBoom, modeled after our Safety Director, Neal Asklund "Boomer". There truly isn’t a better person to represent what the A&R culture stands for. Boomer leads with integrity, mentorship, accountability, and genuine care for every employee who steps onto our jobsites or into his classroom.

At the end of the day, our goal is simple:
One Team. One Goal. Zero Incidents.
