Project Architect
Long-standing and reputable architectural firm is seeking an experienced architect for full- time
employment in our Utica office. We are a mid-size firm with offices in Syracuse and Utica, NY serving a
diverse clientele.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in architecture, currently licensed in NYS or in process of
obtaining professional license/registration, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar setting.
Preference is for a creative individual with good design skills, computer proficiency (AutoCAD, Revit,
Bluebeam Revu, Office), project management capabilities, client contact/communication skills, and
strong technical (codes, products, construction) knowledge.

As we fast approach the close of 2021, we here at Bonacci Architects remembers this year’s passing of two of the firm’s past long-time partners and stewards of its predecessor firm(s). This year we sadly lost Art McKnight, AIA (founder) and Dante P. Fuligni, AIA (partner). These two talented gentlemen and Vincent Fragola, AIA (partner) molded the firm’s ethics and culture that continues to be benchmarked for this successor firm. Bonacci Architects is excited to announce that the re-construction phase of this architectural gem will commence soon. After nearly a year of planning and design work, the former Commercial Travelers Insurance building at 70 Genesee St. will undergo an extensive adaptive re-use project.

The five story former office building will be re-purposed as a mix-use building with 32 luxury apartments on the upper floors and approximately 12,000 square feet of commercial office and support amenity space at the main level.

The project will preserve this magnificent structure originally designed by Fredrick H. Gouge in 1905, with additions in 1918 and 1937 Mr. Gouge was a notable architect of that period.

Bonacci Architects is proud to have been selected to lead the design team on another significant piece of the Downtown Utica Renaissance. A shout out to Lahinch Group, the developers visualizing Utica's potential and turning potential into reality.

Bonacci Architects is proud to release interior photos of the recently completed 20,000+sf addition to Adjusters International at the Utica Business Park. This marks the second time that Bonacci Architects has been commissioned to design additional space for their world headquarters.
