Doing taxes for my and just want to remind everyone that did something amazing. THANK YOU for NOT TAXING her tips! Thank you for rewarding someone with their own money that works hard and struggles, rather than taking someone else's money to give it to people that don't try to even earn anything.
If you don't work in the service industry you dont know, but many places require you "tip out" or tip share your bus boys, bartenders, cooking staff, or even security at bars. But they don't have to report that money, it's often done in cash. You know who gets hit with those taxes EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T GET TO KEEP THE MONEY.... the servers! Years ago I worked for tips. I made good money in a tourist location. But 20% of my income had to be tipped out every night. So every year I ended up with about $15,000 I was taxed for that I didn't get to keep! It would then push me into a higher tax bracket that made me pay more on the money I did get to keep instead of a correct reporting. So while many are saying it's not fair that they don't have to pay the first 25k on their tips, this really helps even out the unfair reporting!
Don't listen to the media with their agendas. While they attack him based off emotions, he's busy getting real progress made.
