🧚🏼‍♀️ Coming soon to a beanstalk near you! 🧚🏼‍♀️

Pings… If there is a carnivorous plant that reminds me that there’s still SO MUCH more to learn and grow from, it’s the sticky, cutesy, little (sometimes large) Pinguicula.

I have a huge love/hate relationship with them. They aren’t as forgiving for me as the others; so when life gets busy and I neglect them 🙈 they make it known. 😭💀🤦🏻‍♀️ OR Have you ever had a beautiful plant that you admired for “too long” and you went to bed and it was dead by morning? Me too 🙋🏻‍♀️ My kryptonite = Pinguicula.

With over 120 species of Pinguicula, there are two main types: Mexican and Temperate. Pictured below is P. Primuliflora, a temperate ping. These types of pings prefer acidic, boggy media vs a gravely type with routine watering. So she’s been living amongst the sundews minding her own business, as have I and she’s beautiful 🤩. Just like all the other carnivorous plants, you know the little primrose-like flowers get me- every 👏 tiiiime 😍

In the words of Rafiki, “It is time”. This sis and some of her friends can go live with other people who will love her and treat her better than I do. ✌️

Wishing you all a safe and sparkling rest of the week! ✨

🧚🏼‍♀️ Newly Emerged Bog Buddy 🧚🏼‍♀️

What a beautiful cicada! 🤩 I might be scared of them once they start buzzing and and crashing into things around me, but this calm, emerging cicada won me over while doing some bog work.

Not only will new plants be hitting the shelves this week, but fun new plushies. Wishing you all the best start to the new week ahead!

Stay wild. Stay magical. Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle ✨

🧚🏼‍♀️ World Carnivorous Plant Day and the start of NURSES’ 👩🏻‍⚕️ WEEK!! 🧚🏼‍♀️

Wow! Did you know there was a day dedicated to celebrating carnivorous plants?! 🤩 I can’t ever decide what my favorite is- Drosera, Sarracenia, Nepenthes… those cutesy little muppet-looking Cephalotus. Maybe it’s Heliamphora or utricularia. Won’t be Pinguicula (Iykyk 😭🤣) I’m going to do some fun stuff this week to share the love and sparkle 💖.

Drop your favorite carnivorous plant below and get entered into a drawing for a mystery sarracenia! I will draw a winner on Mother’s Day. (It’s literally a mystery. I lost the tag 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣).

🧚🏼‍♀️ Thank You 🧚🏼‍♀️

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of you. Thank you for sticking with me when I’m absent; when I am trying; when I am celebrating no matter the size of the accomplishment.

You’ve been here with me as I am still growing, failing, digging elbows deep in the media, filling jugs of water for watering day, questioning if I’m not doing enough… reading, asking questions, chopping, propping, dividing, sewing seeds, moving stuff around in the greenhouse or out and back in and back out again. Even when I am overwhelmed and just toss stuff in a pile and cover it with moss pretending it’s not there. I cannot say thank you enough.

Thank you for being with me in all the phases of growth. Your love and support keeps me going as The Fairy Bog Mother. I couldn’t be who I am without you. I’d just be the weird girl who loves weird plants 🤣

Once life slows down a little bit (does that ever happen?) I’m hoping to be able to be here more often, but until then- Thank you, truly. You are appreciated. Keep sparkling ✨

Love,
Mandi

Every single time a flower blooms I find myself falling more in love with these amazing plants. 😍 Still waiting for Tarnok to show up and show out at the party. It will always be my all time favorite flower.

One of our own is in need… let’s come together and make magic happen 💚✨

If you’ve been to our shop, chances are that you’ve met Dani.

Dani is one of the sweetest souls we’ve ever met, and has been a part of our shop family since long before our time at our present location.

On Thursday, April 16th, a horrific tragedy befell upon Dani’s family, and she’s been working hard to raise money for funeral bills, medical costs, and living expenses for her uncle.

Let’s come together and make magic happen for one of our own. On Saturday, April 25th, all profits from plant sales will be donated towards the cause. In addition, there will be delicious baked goods (with donation), silent auction on handmade goods, and raffles for rare plants.

We thank you all for your care and compassion! We hope to see you there!

🧚🏼‍♀️ Omgosh! Seedling alert! 🤩😮 🧚🏼‍♀️

Good morning and happy Monday! I spent a big chunk of yesterday watering, repotting, watering, watering some more, and cleaning up inside the greenhouse- moving things out to the tables, reorganizing, plucking moss, peeking at seeds that I haven’t peeked at and this is one of my most exciting discoveries. Of course don’t ask me what cross this is because I was so excited I don’t even remember and I’m scared of the dark so there’s no telling until I can get back out there in the next few days.

I had sewn these seeds 11/12/25 and FINALLY I see magic!

All this to say, don’t give up. No matter what challenges you may face in your life whether it be plants or work or school… life in general. It isn’t always about how fast you finish the race. Have a blessed and safe week. Stay magical and always, always, always, spread the sparkle. 💖

🧚‍♀️ Good Morning! Happy Monday! 🧚‍♀️

Sheesh! It’s been a minute since I last posted! Life has been keeping me busy. I’m home today (minus mom chores/errands) so that means I can dedicate a good chunk of today to plant chores! Yay!!! Who said chores weren’t fun? 🤣

The Filiformis are starting to wake up from their winter naps. Scrunched down sleeping in their hibernaculum to bursting out and stretching their long dewy arms! I’m so excited to see them waking up. It’s like every time I go into the greenhouse lately something is waking up or growing larger. 😍🌅

Not photoed is the wolf spider 🕷️ that tried to eat me last night. If you don’t hear from me with an update on the day it has most likely carried me to its den to feed me to its hundreds of babies😭

Have a sparkling Monday! ✨
