🧚🏼♀️ Coming soon to a beanstalk near you! 🧚🏼♀️
Pings… If there is a carnivorous plant that reminds me that there’s still SO MUCH more to learn and grow from, it’s the sticky, cutesy, little (sometimes large) Pinguicula.
I have a huge love/hate relationship with them. They aren’t as forgiving for me as the others; so when life gets busy and I neglect them 🙈 they make it known. 😭💀🤦🏻♀️ OR Have you ever had a beautiful plant that you admired for “too long” and you went to bed and it was dead by morning? Me too 🙋🏻♀️ My kryptonite = Pinguicula.
With over 120 species of Pinguicula, there are two main types: Mexican and Temperate. Pictured below is P. Primuliflora, a temperate ping. These types of pings prefer acidic, boggy media vs a gravely type with routine watering. So she’s been living amongst the sundews minding her own business, as have I and she’s beautiful 🤩. Just like all the other carnivorous plants, you know the little primrose-like flowers get me- every 👏 tiiiime 😍
In the words of Rafiki, “It is time”. This sis and some of her friends can go live with other people who will love her and treat her better than I do. ✌️
Wishing you all a safe and sparkling rest of the week! ✨
