Just remember cheap labor isn't skilled and skilled labor isn't cheap. You may be able to find someone to do it cheaper, but are they going to take to time to do it right and make you happy. I have heard people complain so much about how they didn't do a good job, that happens when you are in a hurry and can't wait. Also usually the guy that is higher in price has alot of years in so he has the tools, knowledge, and knowhow to get it done if you don't like the prices you try to find someone else but they are few and far between. The work for any skilled tradesman has more then double with 70 percent of the force retiring or passing away due to there age. So think long and hard before you question or tell someone you can get it done cheaper because now a days all I hear is I can't find anyone to call me back or they don't show up times are going to get even tougher if we don't start getting kids involved in a skilled trade. It is coming to where you want find any for less than 150- 200 an hour. Supply and demand supply and demand. I know my worth now a days and I am done selling my self short. My work speaks for its self and most of my customers speak for me as well. I went full time in Oct 1 2016 and I have not advertised after day one. Thanks to all of my customers for there support good work and pride in craftsmanship pays off.

Day 3 installing impro on the nursing home walls hope to get 2 rooms covered chair rail on and ceiling painted before I leave today. Day 4 will consist of putting all hardware back and cleaning up my mess if so not bad for one man show 4 days to complete my part 👍

Working at my Nuring home doing room remodels. Trying to get back to business. One man show again for time being. Looking for the right person who wants to work show up on time as necessary and is willing to learn all about handyman services. I can do and teach you just about everything and you want get bored.

Running a business is such a blessing. It has been called the American dream.

It is also NOT EASY.
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause loads of stress, severe anxiety, and can drain you mentally to the point of depression - even in the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends will expect discounts on everything and value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails. I work 24/7 -7 days a week and it's still not enough.

You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, and out in the field working..... All whilst being a parent, family support, friend...

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially this past year.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient….. and hopefully more of us will stick around! Shout out to all those still showing up.

Good afternoon. This is a hard pill to swallow for me. I always try to go above and beyond for my customers, But at this point my books are closed. I have had sickness in the family and I am extremely behind. If you have spoken with me in the last few months please be patient. You are on the books however at this point I cannot tell you when I will get to you with the illnesses going on in my family. I appreciate all the business and all the recommendations, but at this point I just can't take on anything else or even come look at anything and give you an idea.
