Greenhouse Update!!

11/30/2025

Day 7: Walls in and ready for roofing!! Also….Go Ducks!! Huck the fuskies!!!

11/26/2025

Day 5/6: Rainy days are keeping me cooped up, but the garage is becoming my office & workshop! Finding a couple “dry” moments outside to keep the project moving. Tweaking as I go!

11/23/2025

Day 4: Big day with lots of progress! Posts and initial support beans in. I’m just so excited seeing this come to life after staring at the corner for the last 3 years dreaming up this plan. Tomorrow is a rainy day so I’ll be back at it on Monday. 👩‍🌾🫶

Day 3: I dug the holes for the blocks ✅(moved a hydrangea to make room) but did make one hell of a muddy mess ❌ Ehh! Working with just a couple house of daylight after work during the week means you do what you can. Can’t wait to have full day tomorrow!

11/20/2025

Day 2: More clearing and prep of the site. I always underestimate how long just preparing to do a project actually takes. 🙄 But it’s progress!

11/19/2025

Day 1! I’m building a greenhouse from free supplies I’ve been gathering for the last year! I’ve never done this before nor am I a skilled carpenter. But thanks to YouTube, ChatGPT, a vision and neurodivergent hyper fixation I know I’ve got this. It won’t be pretty but it will be mine. 👩‍🌾 💪 🪴 🔨

Planting a perennial cottage flower bed with room for a couple pretty annuals here and there takes some planning but mostly trial and error. Not all varieties of the plants shown grow to the same height and width or bloom when you want them to bloom. Read the plant labels, talk to the helpful people at your garden center and observe. I’ve moved most of these perennials more than I care to admit. Every season is a new opportunity 🌼 🪏
