A ClearSpace Plan is not meant to replace a contractor.

It helps you get ready for one.

A good planning step can help you decide:

What you actually want
What needs to happen first
What can be phased later
What questions to ask
What might be too much for the space
What choices may affect cost
What should be clarified before getting quotes

That kind of clarity can save time, stress, and sometimes money.

The goal is not to make the project fancy.

The goal is to make the next decision easier.

If you’re not sure what to ask a contractor or what to decide first, message me. That is exactly the kind of planning step ClearSpace is built for.

Small spaces can be surprisingly hard to fix.

A porch.
A front step.
A narrow side yard.
A patio corner.
An awkward entry.

Because the space is small, every choice matters more.

One oversized planter can block the flow.
One wrong bench can make it feel crowded.
Too many ideas can make the space feel unfinished instead of intentional.

That is why I like planning small spaces. You do not always need a huge project. Sometimes you just need to figure out what belongs there, what does not, and what will make the biggest difference.

Have a porch, entry, or small outdoor space you’re unsure about? Send me a few photos, and I’ll help you think through the next step before you start spending money.

Backyards usually need more than “a patio” or “some plants.”

They need zones.

A place to sit.
A place to move through.
A place for pets or kids.
A place for planting.
A place that feels finished, not random.

When those zones are not clear, the project can quickly become a collection of disconnected ideas.

I’m currently working through a backyard planning concept, and this is one of the biggest things I keep coming back to: the space needs to make sense before anything gets built.

ClearSpace Planning helps organize those ideas into a visual direction, priorities, and next-step questions before the expensive part begins.

Have a backyard that needs better flow? Send me a few photos, and I’ll help you think through the zones before you start getting quotes.

A lot of home projects go sideways because people start shopping before they have a plan.

They buy plants before knowing the bed shape.
They pick furniture before understanding the room zones.
They call contractors before knowing what they actually want priced.

That is where confusion starts.

A clear plan does not have to be complicated. It just needs to answer a few basic questions:

What is the space supposed to do?
What should happen first?
What can wait?
What choices affect cost the most?

That is the kind of planning ClearSpace Planning helps with.

Before you spend money, get clear.

The real value of ClearSpace Planning is not just making a space look better.

It is helping you make better decisions before the project begins.

Because once you start buying materials, calling contractors, or moving furniture around, every unclear decision can cost time, money, or energy.

A clear plan helps answer:

What should happen first?
What can wait?
What is the best use of the space?
What should I ask a contractor?
What should I avoid buying too soon?
What would make the biggest difference?

That is the work.

Not just making things prettier.
Making the next step clearer.

I am continuing to build ClearSpace Planning, and I’m especially interested in small, real-life projects right now.

Front yards.
Backyards.
Porches.
Bonus rooms.
Garages.
Small business spaces.
Awkward areas that need a clearer purpose.

If you have a space you keep looking at and thinking, “I know this could work better, but I don’t know where to start,” that is exactly the kind of project I’d love to help think through.

No pressure. No hard sell.

I’m mostly interested in helping people get clarity before they spend money or start a project without a plan.

ClearSpace Planning is not trying to replace contractors, landscapers, builders, or full-service designers.

It does something different.

It helps you get clear before you bring those people in.

That means:

Clearer goals
Better questions
Smarter priorities
A stronger sense of layout
Less guessing
Fewer rushed decisions

A good plan does not have to be complicated. It just has to help you make the next decision with more confidence.

That is the space ClearSpace Planning is built for.

A ClearSpace Planning project usually starts very simply.

You send:

A few photos of the space
A short note about what is not working
A few goals or ideas
A rough budget range, if you have one
Any must-keep items or constraints

That is enough to begin turning the project into something clearer.

You do not need perfect photos.
You do not need a fully formed vision.
You do not need to know all the design language.

That is the point.

The plan helps you organize the project before you spend money, buy materials, or start asking for quotes.
