Some updates on the Hathaway project!

From the initial inspection and meeting with the insurance adjuster on-site to getting the claim approved, we’ve officially moved from mitigation into the rebuild phase.

Cabinets are now installed, and flooring plus countertop templates are scheduled for early next week. It’s always exciting seeing these projects come back together after the dry out and demo process is complete.

Inspections — why they’re so important!

We received a call from a homeowner about some swollen baseboard and were asked if we could repair and replace it, which is definitely something we handle all the time. But as part of our normal inspection process, we always scan the affected area first to find the source of the problem before just covering it up.

Once we checked the swollen MDF baseboard with our moisture meters, we discovered the issue was much bigger than it appeared. The flooring, drywall, and surrounding baseboards were all reading saturated with moisture in multiple areas.

We immediately helped stabilize the affected areas to help prevent further damage and reduce the risk of mold growth. We also helped guide the homeowner through opening an insurance claim and explained the next steps of the mitigation and repair process.

A small sign of damage can sometimes point to a much larger hidden issue. That’s why proper inspections matter.

Another Floor remodel wrapped up by Procoat Construction & Restoration. We demoed the old engineered hardwood flooring, prepped the surface, and installed new 3/8” particle board to bring the new LVP flooring up to the proper height. After flooring installation, we reinstalled the existing trim and put all appliances and fixtures back into place to get everything looking clean and finished. Now onto the next project!

People pay hundreds for steam rooms… meanwhile we’re getting the deluxe sauna package for free under somebody’s house at 1am, laying in a mud puddle fighting a burst pipe while a crawl space steamer cooks us alive 😂

Full interior repaint completed in St. Helens, Oregon!

Procoat Construction & Restoration teamed up with Elite Edge Painting to get this one knocked out in only 4 days. We gave the walls, trim, and doors a fresh new look, taking the old wood-stained trim to a smooth, clean white finish.

The process included sanding, priming all woodwork with shellac-based primer, sanding again, then spraying 2 final finish coats over the trim and doors for a smooth professional finish. We also sprayed and back-rolled the walls using Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint Interior, with ProClassic satin finish on the trim.

Fresh walls, bright white trim, and a completely updated interior in just a few days.
