Demo in the kitchen is done to get ready to level the floors in preparation for new floors and cabinets. Upper cabinets will also come out, but it's nice to get a blank slate to remodel the way I want with all new materials...

This is the video I mentioned in my last post. Next time I plan to think about how I'm going to explain myself better. This should have been redone, I hope to get better at this posting videos thing in the future. I hope y'all have a beautiful day. BTW what I meant to say regarding the Sheetrock was since I didn't have room to feather out the addition, I chose to remove the top layer of existing Sheetrock to allow for a smoother transition. I know it's not the fastest way to do this but I'm not getting paid by the hour and want it to look a the best it can.

I truly feel blessed to be able to be back at work again. I'm looking forward to taking on some larger remodeling projects this spring. Please keep JTO construction in mind for your renovation projects, my goal as always is to do a high quality job for a more than reasonable price. The end goal is a satisfied customer who will always call us first for repeat business.

So I went to do an easy job today
The plan was to change out a bathroom exhaust fan that wasn't working... No problem should have been about a 20 minute job. Unfortunately the fan that I was replacing was never installed correctly. For a split second I thought about just replacing it anyway because it would have been functional. I couldn't bring myself to do that. So I ended up replacing 30 feet of electrical wires (Romex) from the fuse box up to the attic all the way to the fan I was replacing. Even though I'm not going to charge for the extra material or labor at least I know it was done right. That's worth more than a few bucks.

It's officially the rainy season again here in the Pacific Northwest. We've been blessed with a lot of dry weather and sunshine so far. But now that it's looking like the forecast is calling for rain it's time to stop postponing things like getting you homes gutters cleaned out.
