little more about us, since the slides can only hold so much.

Cascade has been around since 1997, and we opened the Tumwater branch a few years back. Things are going good. But “good” isn’t the goal. We’re trying to take this location to the next level, and that only happens with the right people in the right seats. There’s a lot of opportunity to win here, and we want someone who sees that.

Here’s the honest version: we can pitch some crap, we have each other’s backs, and we genuinely make it a good time. We work hard, but we work hard for each other. The culture isn’t a poster on the wall. We protect it. That means flexible time off, real respect for your family and your hobbies, and a team that doesn’t make Monday feel like a punishment.

Soil behaves a lot like water. A few inches sitting behind your fence is a shallow puddle you can hold back with a simple board along the bottom, six to eight inches of composite or pressure-treated. A three-foot drop between your yard and your neighbor’s is a different job, the kind that needs a real block or concrete wall. When it gets to that point we bring in a landscaper and set our posts while they build the wall, so you’re not paying to dig the same trench twice.

If I was doing a backyard fence on a budget, but I really, really wanted it to pop, do a standard
privacy fence in the back, something like our Silverstar or our Chelan style. But on the curb-facing side, upgrade those sections to a much nicer style like this Applegate. A lot of people think you have to match the whole yard with the one style, which is not true.

Saw this build and thought “I want one”? Here’s exactly what to ask your contractor for:

→ 8x8 posts. Not 6x6. The chunky post is what makes it feel built, not bolted on.
→ Soffit ceiling with can lights so you can use the space at night.
→ Gable roof with a king post truss and black metal bracket hardware.
→ Stone post wraps at the base of every post to tie it to the fireplace.
→ Gas fireplace, not wood. Ours is a Heat-n-Glo Courtyard. Run the gas underground from the meter so nothing’s exposed.
→ Cultured Stone face, multi-tone blend so it reads natural, not painted.

Save this, send it to whoever’s quoting you, and ask them to price it line by line. If they can’t, you’ve got your answer.

You could say our designers and craftsmen do a mighty fine job. Our decks are, custom built with you in mind, and our 3D rendering software will allow you to see your future deck and walk through it before a board is ever set. Now, that’s peace of mind.

“We live in a hot climate and shade is the priority. The concrete gets really hot in the summer. What’s a solution for that? Is a deck the only answer?” If you have a hot patio, this is your solution.
