A few years ago, this homeowner did what a lot of people do: they painted the existing siding to freshen everything up.
And for a little while, it worked.
But paint on older, previously coated siding is only as good as what’s underneath. If the surface is weathered, has older layers, or the paint couldn’t properly bond in certain spots, the finish starts to let go. That’s what you’re seeing now: peeling showing up sooner than anyone wants, even though it wasn’t painted that long ago.
This time, the decision wasn’t, “How do we fix the peeling?”
It was, “Let’s modernize the entire facade.”
The client has watched their neighborhood evolve with cleaner lines, updated windows, and more modern exteriors. They got inspired to make a real change instead of repeating the repaint cycle. So we’re going all in with a new design direction, James Hardie siding, and an all new Andersen window package.
