Hematite, All found locally, I even found a piece in the gravel at the old Victor elementary school site.

This is not known to exist in our valley, I polished one side of these pieces to 3000. You cannot tell what’s inside unless you know what to look for on the outside.
Here you go. Start looking for it. Bring your favorite rocks to one of our classes starting this fall.

I have a large collection of this material, I have collected, to use in our “lapidary to jewelry” classes starting this fall.

Thank you Teton Valley😊
I received my zoning approval TODAY,
to continue to grow the school into the future.

While the school would have been grandfathered in at the current size, this will allow for future growth of the workspace as needed.

I thank you, because of your comments and support in the past few months. It made me feel I was on the right path, and helped push me to get this zoning change done now, even though I was already overwhelmed with my house project and the school startup.

I will be reaching out, after the new year, for help and ideas for the summer public opening. Please follow my page for updates.

Thank you❤️
Halsey
Now it’s time to go Skiing 😊

Hello neighbors, I want to give a brief description of my dreams for the Craftsman Rendezvous workshop.

I have been a woodworker for nearly 50 years. Starting in our basement as a kid in rural Maine.
I moved to the Tetons in ‘89 for the skiing, and started my first small shop building log furniture in ‘91
I have expanded my skills over the years…..and have always wanted to share my knowledge.

I bought this property in Victor in 2015. Thinking it was the perfect location for the school, when I could afford to move forward my dreams.

I look forward to the summer of 2025 when I hope to have my house finished, my shop cleaned of all the house materials, and I can open to the public.

I currently have permission with Teton county to have 8 students on my property (Dept of health limit).

I am a lifelong Craftsman. I enjoy what I do, the school is my retirement dream, but I am not very social in public, my office and communication skills are lacking, my resources a limited, but I get very engaged when sharing my knowledge.

I will be asking for help, in the future, on this page for people who have the skills I lack, in getting this opportunity going.

My current business plan involves;
-hiring a national recognition teacher to teach a one week class each month to pay the bills,
-3 weeks a month, I would like to offer community based classes ,and offer the shop for other to have classes to share their skills.
