Although many have heard the news, it must be officially announced to all....
Devereux Gardens Growing Center is Permanently Closed.
I know. It saddens me too. For over 25 years, the nursery has planted, grown and nurtured thousands upon thousands of beautiful plants. This spring alone, they grew over 20,000 plants for our community to enjoy in our gardens and flowerbeds. To say they will be missed, is an understatement. I'm heartbroken. Struggling to decide where to shop in the future, not because of the plants alone. But because of the mission and dedication to help those with mental health and IDD struggles, their compassion to serve the community, and the heart they put into their work. Knowing where the money was going always made me feel like I too was giving back and a part of something bigger than me. I am not an employee, but a dedicated and loyal customer who felt they were deserving of the recognition. I have kept myself up to date on their journey, sharing as much as I can with each of you because they deserved it. So, please share with us a picture of your favorite flower you purchased fom them or a cherished memory you may have. Please flood this post with kind wishes, warm thoughts and lots of pictures. I will share those I have collected over the years!
