❄️ Heads Up, Southeast Texas Neighbors! ❄️
The forecast is calling for a big Arctic blast this weekend, with freezing temperatures, possible freezing rain, and even an ice storm risk heading our way into Saturday and Sunday. In Vidor and the surrounding areas, we’re looking at prolonged sub-freezing conditions that could lead to icy roads, tree branches, power lines, and more.
Now’s the time to get prepared so you stay safe and avoid headaches:
• Check your pipes – Insulate exposed ones and let faucets drip if needed to prevent freezing/bursting.
• Secure outdoor items – Bring in or tie down anything that could blow around or get damaged by ice/wind.
• Inspect roofs/gutters – Clear any debris now before ice adds extra weight.
• Test your heating – Make sure your heater, fireplace, or generator is ready (and safe!).
• Power outage prep – Stock up on batteries, flashlights, non-perishable food, and water.
If the ice hits and you end up with damaged pipes, leaky roofs, broken branches, or any home repair emergencies from the storm, Southeast Texas Handyman is here for you! We’re local, reliable, and ready to help with emergency fixes, winter prep work, or post-storm repairs.
Stay warm, stay safe, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need us. Message or call anytime – we’ve got your back! 💪🔧
