This 6 drawer chest on chest came to us after seeing better days. It was missing two inside drawers, so we had to get creative with the space where drawers should have been. She isn’t perfect, but overall would make a great addition to any home.

The other day I stopped by the local lumber store and saw bundles upon bundles of hardwood scraps for sale. I thought, I can probably do something with those. This was my first attempt at one of these, but the possibilities are endless. It can be hung up, placed like this, or even used as a fancy serving tray because it’s made of all hardwood.

If anyone would like one in any design or size let me know.

Found this piece on a curb a couple weeks ago and brought it home, Simple, but still challenging and fun. We tried something for the first time with this one, a “custom” paint color. Simply put, dumping different colors into a can and mixing until your arm hurts.

If you’re ever thinking of doing a makeover instead of a remodel this may help.

Before picking colors or styles think about the things you can’t or won’t change. For us it was the flooring and shower. Those two were just going to be too expensive and difficult to tackle on our own. From there, we then chose colors and styles to try and incorporate those two features instead of having them standout as eyesores.

We were able to upgrade the faucet, light fixture, mirror, outlets, switches, baseboard vent, hardware, install board and batten, and of course paint all for less than $500. Let us know if you have any questions about any of it!
