New signage at the Grow City Teaching Garden. While we ask that the garden not be disturbed, except on workdays or by committee members, we WANT people to visit the garden! What's growing on at the Grow City Teaching Garden? Yesterday, the Knox County Public Library Indiana Pre-K Explorers Club planted basil to take home. They also took oregano cuttings to root. They enjoyed exploring the garden and we enjoyed their enthusiasm!

Celebrating and supporting "Local Food, American Stories." The Grow City Teaching Garden will reflect on our local food heritage with designated garden areas

Three sisters, French, German, African-American and a pizza garden! The garden is open to everyone to learn and enjoy. Please do not disturb plants or garden beds. Join us on our work days to have fun, enjoy nature, learn, and grow great food!

Seed Packaging Workday April 15

The Knox County Seed Library will be having a Seed Packaging Workday on Wednesday, April 15, from 10 am to noon and 1 to 3 pm Eastern. Anyone is welcome to come anytime during those hours to help package seeds for the seed library drawers. The workday will take place in the basement of the Knox County Public Library, in the room adjacent to the Teen Room.
The Knox County Seed Library is located on the main floor of the public library, outside the Sun Room, in two old card catalog cabinets. All are welcome to check out seeds using a very simple procedure. There are seeds for various vegetables, herbs, flowers, and native plants.
