I planned on being open this afternoon. Then the off-and-on headache that started Thursday night turned full-blown migraine Saturday night, and here we are now pushing 2pm Monday, still in bed. I spent my open hours yesterday in the dark man-shop recliner listening for my little door bell up front to notify me of guests and it was pitiful. So, for the rest of today, I'm going to hide in the nice dark house with a liter of Mt Dew and we'll try again tomorrow night.

The only other day I'll be closed this week is Friday for the biweekly Rushville trip. New dirt should arrive by then as well, so repotting will pick back up Saturday!

Two things:
1. Open normal hours this weekend and maybe earlier on Monday depending on how fast I clean the house, will post when I'm ready lol. Everyone's off work anyways and I live here, might as well be open 😂

2. Next plant order will be placed shortly after Carlinville Fall Fest (9/19-9/20) - get your requests in so I can start looking! Meanwhile, I still have tons of excellent specimens that need to "go on and git" to make room for new ones!

Okay, whoops, 3. I have definitely forgotten bingo the last two nights, give me 5 minutes and I will fix that lol

I am out of dirt. I repeat, completely out of dirt!

I am ordering more dirt shortly, so I should have it some time next week! If you bring me plants to repot before then, they can hang out here, but only if you're okay with them being outside on the patio, shaded and placed where the wind can't get 'em.

If you'd prefer to wait, that's cool too. I would 104% recommend waiting if your plants do not currently reside outdoors. I will post when more dirt has arrived.

Fun fact: the dirt I use for house plants actually contains zero dirt, and zero moss/coir for that matter lol. No one's getting root rot on my watch!

Quick little attempt of a spider rehab. This one was SO soggy and mushy. Poor thing is trying to climb out of the mud lol.
Luckily there were still some decent tubers in there so all hope is not lost. Also luckily, the potting mix I use is really hard to overwater with and should yield good results as long as it's not being watered 74 times a day. She belongs to a LTC resident so who knows what happens after this 🙃

It's in a little 3-4in pot with a saucer inside the hanging pot - ain't no way I was going to put what was left of that root system in a 6in vessel.

Anywho, maybe this will end well and we'll meet again when it needs a bigger pot. Fingers crossed. 😊

Well, I'm already massively stocked on tons of different snake plants but there will be more laurentii babies early this week. I'm using the pots I have so big momma needs to lose some baby weight and I also need to obtain more dirt 😂

On the upside, she didn't fall over one time this year!
