6-71 Detroit Diesel Marine Engine. DDC Marine package – Factory. 485 plus bhp with spec turbo Garrett TW 7302 with 1.03 exhaust housing, HP is higher than rating and more efficient.
Engine has water cooled turbo Exhaust Housing and Special for WC Turbo Engine Exhaust Manifold by DDC. Engine is completely rebuilt bare block has .95 liner height cylinder kits – standard bores 17-1 compression. Bores were honed, and custom fits with class 3 and 4 fitness. Crankshaft machined (Rods and Mains) .010 U/Size and polished. Build sheet specs available with engine.
Engine has advance keyway camshaft with advance cam/std gear train timing. Cam is in great shape with no wear, was lathe polished before assembly/Block was pressured tested before overhaul and is the last design model produced. Engine is a RA arrangement design with blower on the LH side of the engine and exhaust manifold/turbo on RH side.
• Turbo is brand new – not rebuilt, compressor housing is only item reused.
• 7025 Injectors were custom built by Bobby Rowe’s Diesel Service, Inc. and tested.
• Cylinder Head casting was in excellent shape and rebuilt with new parts.
• J6 Exhaust Valves – New – Stellite faced/Inconel.
• Cam-followers – reman – DDC
• New Valve Guides – diamond honed to size – running gear remanufacture.
(New injector tubes and deck resurfaced to less than 15 A/roughness on grinder machine, van
Norman, stone type. VERY SMOOTH FINISH.)

New engine oil coolers (both) – Reman oil pump and rebuilt valves.
All engine bearings including governor replaced.
Blower / spec bypass unit remanufactured by Bobby Rowe’s Diesel Service, Inc.
All fuel/oil and cooling system vent lines are new – excluding the vent hose are Aeroquip FC234 and push lock # 332 where applicable. All performed hose NEW Silicon
Coolers Heat exchanger, fuel/marine gear cooler cleaned, intercooler PSI tested and cleaned.
Raw water pump remanufactured / Fresh water pump remanufacture / Engine painted Yanmar Gray High Gloss.
Warranty included!
