We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Assistant to provide support to the Project Manager. This includes assisting with estimates, submittals, schedules, purchasing, and documentation. Our Assistant Project Managers are expected to have a high degree of integrity, attention to detail, and an exceptional work ethic.
Responsibilities:
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, and other documentation to pursue projects
• Assist with Project Estimating, Bidding, Proposal Generation, and Follow-up.
• Assists Project Manager in purchasing, invoice approval, quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, bidding jobs, change orders, and building codes.
• Submittal Management - Solicits, reviews, logs, submits, and verify submittals, inclusive of cross-referencing all documents to assure product conformance.
• Maintains project logs in support of Project Manager including but not limited to RFIs, Submittals, Daily Logs, Plan Changes, Schedules, Change Orders, etc.
• Assembles close-out information including as-builts, warranties, etc.
• Obtain permits with local cities/governments when needed.
• Manage service agreements, T&M service, service projects, and service invoicing.
• Monitor job/project progress and review project outcome reports with leadership.
• Maintain a professional rapport with current and potential customers, employees, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of construction experience in commercial construction management, preferably mechanical experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent time management skills!
• Computer literacy is a must (Experience with Acowin is a plus)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Valid VA Driver’s License
