This was the largest tree we've removed yet! A main trunk of the tree uprooted and the middle had serious decay over the house. Although it’s been getting colder, it’s a perfect time to remove big trees. This was a great experience removing this very old, dangerous silver maple. For size reference, that chainsaw bar is 42"!

We have returned to Viroqua after a hot week in Cedar Rapids! We would like to thank everyone who made a donation for the people of Cedar Rapids -- it was greatly appreciated! Hi all! Soil to Sky Tree Care is taking two crews down to Iowa City and Cedar Rapids to aid with storm damage relief, and we will be leaving tomorrow morning. We have several trucks and trailers we can pack with supplies if anyone would like to make a donation. Urgent needs include tarps, flashlights, gas cans, coolers, charcoal and non-perishable food. Ongoing needs include extension cords, batteries, candles, fuel, 2-cycle/4-cycle oil, and bar & chain oil.

If anyone would like to make a donation, please feel free to drop off on the porch at 324 E Church St, Viroqua WI anytime before tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8AM. Thank you!!!

The Iowa Derecho Storm Relief page is in need of volunteers and donations as well as offering resources for anyone affected by the storm.
