Over recent years, the idea of “aging in place” has become a hot topic among those over the age of 50. Aging in place refers to the desire of older adults to live where they want as they age, and for as long as they can. Rather than moving to a nursing home or senior living community, many people want to take steps to make their current residences safe and functional so they do not have to leave their homes.
