In 1999, Grundfos set a new standard in the industry with the introduction of the 3” submersible pump—engineered specifically for 4” wells where traditional pumps could not be installed.

Pictured here is a 2001 model alongside the modern version. While the compact 3” design remains consistent, both the original and modern units offer soft start capabilities. Today’s pumps, however, feature additional advancements in motor performance and overall technology.
