McLennan County Master Gardeners are truly special. We asked one of our MGs permission to use her son's image as the model of a future gardener, in our event post "Gardening With Children". Not only did she say yes, but she turned the opportunity of the photo shoot into a complete day of getting the family ready, go to a local nursery, buy a plant, and help their son to have an enjoyable educational experience in the garden.

We had a great crew of volunteers at Miss Nellie’s Pollinator Teaching Garden workday!!
With the water rationing, our “fabulous volunteers” have kept the plants alive. The recent rain was a welcome blessing! MCMGs are the BEST!!

During our most recent Waco Downtown Famers Market participation, the McLennan County Master Gardeners demonstrated simple propagation. Visitors left with a plant of their choice. It was a hot summer day with lots of fun!
