Low growing native plants can function as partial lawn replacements or living ground covers depending on site conditions. For example, Tiarella cordifolia as known as foam flower is great option for shaded areas where turf grass often fails and bare dirt typically washes away. Another added benefit is it is a pollinator life line.💓

Did you know about No mow May? 🌱 It is a conservation initiative that encourages people to stop mowing their lawns for the entire month of May. The goal is to allow lawn flowers- such as dandelions, clovers, and violets- to bloom, providing a critical early-season food source for bees and other pollinators. The moment began in the United Kingdom through the organization Plantlife and has gained significant popularity across North America and Europe.
