There have been moments when it felt like we were losing the battle, but little by little, new growth is returning and hope is blooming again.

It’s been a great strawberry season but it is coming to an end… 🍓🍓🍓

Every year before our strawberries stop producing I make sure to make this Strawberry Basil Balsamic Burrata.

It’s the perfect summer appetizer for pool parties, backyard gatherings, or anytime you’re hosting friends and family.

Made with strawberries and basil from the garden and honey from our bees, this dish is bursting with flavors of the season!

The sweet berries, creamy burrata, fragrant basil, and rich balsamic come together beautifully, especially when served with toasted bread. 🥖

Those gorgeous garden reels I post where everything looks lush, thriving and Pinterest worthy …

Well… here’s the director’s cut. 🤭

For the past six weeks, we’ve been consumed with a groundhog who apparently believed we planted this garden exclusively for him. While I dreamed of fresh veggies, he treated the whole place like his personal salad bar.

So if you’ve been wondering about the lack of garden updates, it’s because every time something started thriving, it disappeared. Honestly, there was a moment when I thought the groundhog might just eat my entire garden and I was so frustrated!

Thankfully, my husband stepped in, and is confident our uninvited guest has officially been evicted.

Just a reminder… behind every perfect garden photo is a gardener questioning their life choices, a few dead plants, and bugs or critters snacking on their crops!
Now excuse me while I go see what’s left. 🌱😂

Snapdragons and garden roses are shining in the garden right now! 🌸✨🫶

Snapdragons bloom on tall spikes and produce more stems the more you harvest, making them a reliable cut-and-come-again flower.

Garden roses bloom in repeating flushes—bursts of flowers followed by a short rest before blooming again. With proper care, they reward us with fragrant blooms all season long!

A patriotic tablescape, but make it floral.

This American inspired tablescape was inspired by some of my season favorites. Red and white peonies, blueberry foliage, white garden roses and fresh strawberries picked straight from the garden. What I love about this tablescape is it’s patriotic but floral and could be easily used for a Fourth of July tablescape.
