Family-owned Connecticut remodeling contractor since 1999. Mark and Nancy Benson are Bencar Building Systems in Wallingford CT.

Mark was born and raised in the San Francisco area of California and started out in the construction business working for his uncle. Nancy was born and raised in Wallingford and earned a secretarial degree at a local college. She worked in a variety of industries over the years but the one common bond was customer service. Mark and Nancy spent eight years living in California with their son. During that time he worked as a project manager for a high-end home builder in Sonoma County where he learned the importance of customer service. It wasn't long after moving to Wallingford that Mark decided to start his own remodeling business and Nancy was ready and willing to help him. You would think that working with each other every day, spending an hour or two across a desk from each other would be a nightmare - but it works for them. They have a common goal and that's to make sure their customers are well-informed and that there is steady, open communication between everyone involved.

A lot of our best projects start with a referral! If you know a friend or family member who is thinking about remodeling, we’d love to give them a remarkable remodeling experience.

Our goal on every project? Clients who can't wait to leave us a 5-star review and tell their friends about it!

And we know that at the end of a remodeling project, clients who are as happy with the experience as the finished product don't happen by accident.
We’ve built a process that covers everything from that first phone call to the final walkthrough to minimize stress and increase your satisfaction in the entire remodeling experience. If that’s what you’re looking for, reach out today!

You’ll walk through this space every single day for years, not just the day it's finished.

That's why we pride ourselves on quality materials and excellent craftsmanship.
If quality matters to you as much as it does to us, give us a call and let's talk about your project!

Ever wonder what goes into the remodeling process before a single tile is laid?
We finalize the design and choose all of your materials and finishes first. Then we map out your full timeline before work ever begins.

Good planning up front keeps things moving on time and on budget once demo day actually arrives!

When you call our office to discuss a remodeling project, you can expect us to:

1. Ask about what’s not working in your current space and your goals for the remodel
2. Share with you an overview of our process
3. Discuss your desired investment range
4. Review the next steps

We've found that the more you understand about the process upfront, the smoother and less stressful everything feels!
