Sometimes, you have to make your own tools. I had a repair job today. The client has skylights in the living room,and a piece of molding came loose, and they were afraid it would fall. So when I got there, the only ladder I had was an 8 ft. The ceiling is about sixteen ft. So I took an eight ft piece of wood, taped a screw driver to it, and then screw a drywall screw into the molding. Problem solved. Total McGiver LOL. The room is going to be painted soon so I can fix the repair then while on a scaffolding. Definitely not OSHA approved 🤫😄. Have a great day everyone 👍

Today we got alot done.it all started about a week ago when we dug seven footings. If you ever dug anything in the Hudson Valley you know that anything past a foot is all rock. Not fun but we got it done. Today we poured the footings. Shout out to Putnam Ready Mix. Saved us alot of mixing by hand and not hu***ng 80 lb bags of cement. Anyway footings poured brackets set covered the exterior wall with aluminum to avoid leaks then put up the first board. Off to a great start. I even got the boss to work. LOL 😆. Can someone give me Fred Flintstones number I think he left his steak here. Lol. When you work all week then come home and work on your deck we deserve a tomahawk steak and some peppers from the garden and some corn. My sweet made a great herb brush to season the steak. She is the best. Up date on the deck project coming soon. Hope everyone had a great weekend . Stay safe and well ✌️

Good evening everyone. Hope everyone had a great day. So I've been busy since January working on raised garden beds. There are 4 total. They are 8 foot by 30 inches high and 30 inches deep. They are made from cedar 2x4s and corrugated steel. Then they are secured to the ground with 4x4 posts. Then we filled them up with some fill Then fresh garden soil.
We planted tomatoes,peppers,eggplant,carrots ,onions and potatoes. Should be good I will keep everyone posted. Be well and Be kind.

Hello again
I've been busy last few weeks. So on this job I moved a few cabinets around and created a coffee bar. Added a few new cabinets and a soap stone counter. Also a fresh coat of paint. Kitchen was much brighter with fresh paint. Client was happy with new cabinets and layout. Another good day. Thanks 😊

What's up everyone? It's been a while since our last post. The last few weeks I've been working on a house refresh in Poughkeepsie. It a two bedroom cottage house. Thee house was in bad shape and hadn't been painted in about 20 years. Also the previous owner was a heavy smoker and the house had a heavy smoke smell. First the whole interior of the house was trimmed with a shellac based primer. Then all the trim was sanded trimmed and painted in a semi gloss white. The ceilings got two coats of water born ceiling flat then all the rooms were painted in Benjamin Moore Reagal Select egg shell finish.the I had to relocate a washer and dryer to the basement and patch the wall. All in all it came out great and the home owner was very happy.

I've been meaning to post this for a few weeks. My old second hand Craftsman tractor finally gave out. So I went to Adam's power equipment and pick up a sweet John deer tractor. My only complaint is it's so easy to use !! And cuts the grass with no effort. I'm not used to that. Funny story about the Craftsman tractor. A friend told he had it in his shed and it needed some work. He said just go take. Then he help yourself to anything else. 😃. So I asked a friend to help me and we got the tractor and everything we could take. I received a phone call from the guy that gave me the tractor,wanting all his tools back. So we brought everything back. What he ment was anything that had to do with the tractor we could take not clean out the shed. At the end of the day we returned the tools and we all still laugh about it today.

Take a look at what I did last week. The clients have an old two story Farm house. There is a deck of the master bedroom. The deck needed a good power wash and some heavy sanding to bring it back to life. I the stained it with Benjamin Moore wood lux in a solid color Stone henge. The railing was completely rebuilt. The post were good and didn't have to be changed out. At the end of the day it looks great.
