IT Technician for Computer / Automation & Security Company
Computer Force, Inc. (Warminster, PA)
We are looking for an IT Technician for both In-House and Onsite work for a computer / automation & security company based out of the Warminster area. Primary responsibilities would include in-house work as well as driving to client locations throughout the Delaware Valley.
Typical requests may include, but are not limited to:
Designing, assembling, configuring, and installation of computers, alarms, and video surveillance equipment
Running, terminating, and testing network & phone cabling
Installing cameras & security sensors
Configuring switches, routers, and access points
Wall and ceiling mounting of client equipment, mostly indoors but may also include some outdoor work

ABOUT YOU:

On any given day you might bounce between low-level support, high-level technical support, updating our documentation, etc. You can instantly visualize solutions to problems big and small. Your work is always clean, and well documented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in successful completion of project work including analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing of client network operations, security systems, video surveillance, etc.…
• Perform quality assurance activities to ensure standardization of best practices.
• Implement network infrastructure and security policies that promote client's objectives.
• Updates assigned service requests in the Help Desk Ticketing System
• Provides end‐user hardware and/or software support; troubleshooting as needed
• Willingness to travel up to 100 miles from the Warminster area for servicing of client equipment on-site.
• Reports and receives technical requests, including supporting end‐user's and co-worker's service requests
• Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (servers, batteries, printers, etc.) and work in tight spaces
• Must not be afraid of heights as many aspects of this job require ladder or lift work up to 70’ in the air

• Full Time – Typical Hours are 7:00am – 4:00pm but may require flexibility
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE FOLLOWING:
• Assemble, Install, and properly configure Windows desktops / laptops
• Troubleshoot ISP/connectivity issues
• Setup and troubleshoot a network firewall
• Comfortable with supporting end users over the phone or in person
• Comfortable working with your hands and using power tools
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-5 years of Microsoft Windows operating systems experience
• Network analysis and diagnostic skills, ability to implement quick and effective solutions to network problems, and escalate issues when necessary
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Proven dedication to enabling continuous operations
• Evidence of strong flexibility and problem‐solving skills
• Successful at working in a team culture as well as independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide excellent customer service, both via phone and desk-side
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of office grade routers, switches, and access points
• Functioning knowledge in common office software, hardware, and networking
DESIRABLE SKILLS – NOT REQUIRED & WILLING TO TRAIN AS NEEDED:
• Cabling
• Experience with security systems & automation
• Experience with video surveillance systems
