Instagram Reels don’t always show the whole story…

Instagram Reels often don’t capture the full view of a room, so here are a few wide-angle photos that let you take in the entire space.

This Webster Groves primary bedroom is wrapped in Benjamin Moore’s Yorktown Green and layered with details that make the room feel both restful and timeless. We paired a Quince linen duvet with Select Blinds woven wood shades and added rechargeable wall-mounted sconces and ginger jar lamps for beautiful, flexible lighting throughout the room. Solid wood bedroom furniture from Wayfair keeps the space grounded and timeless.

Proof that a room doesn’t have to be filled with expensive pieces to feel collected, cozy, and beautiful.

Just look where we started… and where we’ve come.

Yesterday I shared a sneak peek of this Webster Groves primary bedroom, and today I’m showing you the before and after. What an improvement! Benjamin Moore’s Yorktown Green brought warmth and depth, creating a room that feels restful, sophisticated, and just a little bit blissful.

I know you all love a good transformation!

Happy Monday! There are worse ways to start the week than waking up in a room designed to feel calm, collected, and restful.

This primary bedroom layers timeless furnishings, soft textures, and the rich beauty of Benjamin Moore Yorktown Green to create a space that feels like a retreat every day of the week.

Because good design isn’t just about how a room looks, it impacts how you begin and end your day.

Thanks to Ryan from Sutton Homes for helping Megan and I pull this room together.

✨ These rooms were finished six months apart… but they still speak the same language.

I’ve shown you the before and after of this living room, but today I wanted to show you how beautifully it relates to the dining room we completed for the same clients last December.

When you enter their traditional Colonial home, the dining room is to the left and the living room is to the right. Although each room has its own personality, they speak the same language. The dark moss swivel chairs in the living room echo the richness of the dark olive dining room walls. Both spaces feature the same pinch-pleat gorgeous curtain panels, and the beautiful mid-century lines of the living room chairs are repeated in the dining chairs.

This is what good design does. It creates connection from room to room so that a home feels collected, intentional, and timeless.

Here’s a sneak peek at a Warson Woods living room refresh.

The biggest need in this room was light, so we added five lamps throughout the space and a mirror on one end of the room to reflect both the lamplight and the natural light coming in from the window at the other end of the room. The result is a space that feels light-washed and crisp.

We furnished the room with all new pieces, including 4 fabulous dark moss Pottery Barn Remy swivel chairs, creating a look that feels bright, clean, and fresh. Benjamin Moore’s Winter Orchard provided the perfect color to backdrop for this space.

I know you all love a good before and after, so stay tuned. I’ll share that tomorrow.

Yesterday I shared this finished family room from a Chesterfield project, and today you get to see where it all began. Scroll to the end for the before photos because everyone loves a good transformation.

Color is powerful. My clients wanted to keep their existing sectional, so instead of starting over, we designed around it. We introduced rich color, selected a beautiful new rug, added a gorgeous Wells Pottery Barn swivel recliner, layered in end tables, lamps, art, and plenty of throw pillows. A collection of sansevieria plants brought life to the room and helped make the space feel personal.

The best rooms don’t have to be filled with all new furniture. They just need to feel like the people who live there.

And now, this room feels completely like them.

Thank you Will, Megan, and Thuy for your help bringing this room together!

It’s a rainy summer day in St. Louis, and I know a place.

It didn’t always feel this cozy.

When my clients moved here from out of state, they wanted this house to feel like home. But this room was full of millennial gray and felt cold and disconnected from their style.

We changed that with Benjamin Moore’s Boreal Forest, layered in texture, meaningful pieces, and lots of natural elements. Thanks to Thuy from Best Laid Plants!

Now it’s the kind of room you want to be in on a rainy day.

You don’t always need all new furniture… sometimes you just need a fresh perspective.

Everybody loves a good before and after, and room transformations are one of the things Mason House Design does best.

Moving into a new home often means old pieces end up scattered everywhere, and it’s hard to know what works where. In this primary bedroom, we moved the existing bed to a guest room, repurposed the old rug on the screened porch, painted the walls, updated the furniture with bronze hardware, added wall-mounted lighting, layered the bedding, and brought in a beautiful muted rug that finally made the bathroom tile make sense.

Soft window treatments and thoughtful details brought everything together, creating a space that feels intentional, finished, and grown-up.

Because sometimes the answer isn’t buying all new furniture. Sometimes it’s simply solving the puzzle and making the pieces you already own work beautifully together.

It’s Thursday at 5 PM, and this primary bedroom is exactly where I wish I was headed for the weekend.

You’ve seen Benjamin Moore Montpelier one other time before in a music room. Now check it out in this primary bedroom. Soft, sophisticated, and relaxing, it creates the perfect place to unwind at the end of a long week.

After months of planning, shopping, and styling, I finally added the finishing touches today, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Benjamin Moore Montpelier is as pretty as ever.

Enjoy!
