Two tanks. Both rusted through. Both sitting in a Worcester basement longer than they should have been.

This is what deferred maintenance looks like. When tanks get to this point, they're not just an eyesore — they're a liability waiting to happen.

We pulled both tanks and all the piping in one trip. Foundation wall is clear.

If yours looks anything like this, worth getting it out before it becomes a bigger problem.

Old oil tanks don't give warnings. They leak.

This one was sitting in a stone-foundation basement in Marlborough — horizontal tank, metal legs, copper fuel line, iron piping. Everything connected, nothing removed. Until Monday.

If yours has been sitting there for years, it's worth handling before it becomes a problem.

Two stacked tanks. Years of staining on the stone walls behind them.

That staining doesn't lie — those tanks had been sitting long enough to leave their mark on the foundation.

Both came out along with all the iron piping. Corner is clear now.

If you've got one or two tanks in your basement and you've been putting it off, this is what waiting looks like. Better to get it handled before it becomes someone else's problem — or yours.

Old oil tanks don't give warnings. They leak.

This one was tucked tight into a low-clearance Quincy basement — brass fittings, supply lines still connected, sitting on metal legs between the foundation framing.

Not a disaster. But not something you want to ignore either.

We had it out in under 90 minutes.

If yours has been sitting there and you've been putting it off, it's worth at least getting a quote.

Warwick basement, done this morning.

Large horizontal tank on metal legs — fill and vent lines, red-capped fittings, the whole setup. All of it out in about an hour.

If yours has been sitting against the foundation wall for years, it's worth getting off your list.

That tank isn't getting smaller.

Every year it sits there, it gets older. The metal gets weaker. And when above-ground tanks start to go, the first sign is usually a smell — or a stain on the floor you can't explain.

This one came out of a Wareham basement this week. Big black tank, sitting on legs, taking up a full corner. Now it's gone.

$600 flat. You pay nothing until the job is done.

That rust doesn't happen overnight.

This Falmouth basement tank had been deteriorating for years — heavy corrosion across the entire surface, original black paint mostly gone. It was still standing, but not for much longer.

We pulled it out, cleared the piping, and left the space open. The only evidence it was ever there: two small holes in the block wall where the fill and vent lines ran.

If yours looks anything like this, it's worth getting it out before it becomes a bigger problem.

Plymouth, MA job from last week.

Tank was up on a metal stand with supply and return lines running straight through the ceiling. Filter assembly, containment tray, the whole setup.

We pulled the tank, the stand, and all the overhead piping. Clean removal. Done in one trip.

If you've got an old tank sitting in your basement, we're happy to take a look and let you know what's involved.

Wrentham basement, done this morning.

Tank, legs, fill and vent pipes, absorbent mat — all out. Concrete wall fully exposed, floor cleared.

If yours has been sitting there with a mat under it, that's worth paying attention to.

Flat rate. Pay nothing until the job is complete.

Attleboro, MA — this is what “we’ll deal with it later” eventually looks like.

Old basement oil tank, heavy corrosion, residue on the concrete, piping still in place. Not unusual — but definitely not something you want sitting there forever.

We removed the tank and piping in one visit and left the floor clear.

The best time to remove an old tank is before it becomes urgent.
