Thoughtful details turn even small spaces into special moments ✨

Stunning blue green calcite creates the backdrop for this primary suite vanity. Open glass shelves and simple oak cabinetry allow for the stone to be the star of the show and it does not disappoint!

Captured on film: the warmth of custom textures and the weight of glass. 🎞️✨

From the lily pad tables to the connection between stripes and stems, this corner is a study in minimal styling. It’s about creating a scene that feels as good as it looks—authentic, timeless, and just a little bit dramatic.

Buy the “weird” stuff! Stop being afraid to add some whimsy ✨ to your home.

Honestly, most houses I walk into are totally BORING! Sure, you’ve got that picture perfect Restoration Hardware aesthetic but where is your SOUL?! Your home should tell your story (and your story is not one that can be told solely by the ADD TO CART button!) start hunting for treasures on marketplace, use heirloom pieces (even if you have a modern aesthetic). Find independent creators on Etsy who speak to you.

You should have things in your home that people say what’s the story with this?!

You are not boring, stop decorating like you are!

Anatomy of a Luxe Kitchen:

Luxe is so much more than how much something cost, it’s the ability to inject your space with a piece of yourself. ✨

Custom, custom, custom! To create a truly luxe kitchen, it needs to reflect YOU! It’s a mix of artisans, DIY, small vendors (think Etsy and Antique stores) and big imagination. If you’ve seen it done 100 times, someone else told you this is what you should like.

Take the time to know yourself to learn what colors textures, shapes, and styles truly bring you joy. Your home should not look like it was purchased from one place and that everything is copy and paste.

Get creative!

Learn to “antique” mirrors so you can use them for your cabinet insets. Find the appliance vendors who will color match finishes (or at least give you more than two options).

Ask your stone cutters to custom fabricate window trim with radius edges that mirror the ogee finish on the countertops.

Ditch boring recessed cans for replica 1920s milk glass flush mount (and yes, they give off amazing light!)

Use real stone! Quartz is boring, predictable and bad for the environment. Look at Europe if you’re worried about the sustainability of marble. Hone the finish and go on with life! It’s beautiful, durable and nature’s artwork. If marble is outside of your budget, quartzite is an amazing alternative.

Choose living finishes! Real brass patinas over time and looks better and better.

Functionality can be stunning! A drip ledge to protect the cabinetry adds so much. Pull-out drawers instead of lower cabinets make for easy to access and create beautiful lines. Mixing a “workhorse” perimeter with a “showstopper” island countertop, allows for worry free prep and creates another layer of interest for the space.

Color is your friend! If you’ve always loved sunshine yellow, you’re not going to stop loving it tomorrow. Find a way to incorporate color into your home. It brings so much life and soul into your space.

Home doesn’t always come from white walls and empty rooms. Sometimes it comes from depth – color, pattern, and choices that feel settled rather than loud.

This space was designed to let you rest inside the beauty.

What does calm look like in your home?

My Holiday Home Tour - Day 8: The Living Room Tree

and of course, I got wrapped up in the moment yesterday and forgot post but here we are on the final day Christmas home tour.

This year, I decorated our main tree in gold, silver, and crystal with a beautiful midnight blue velvet tree skirt. The warmth of firelight and warm, white lights makes the whole room glow ✨

Typically, I leave my trees up until the first week of January so we’ll be able to enjoy this beauty for a bit more. 🎄♥️

My Christmas Home Tour - Day 7: The Bar

Styled with my grandmother’s ornaments from the 50s and a Currier and Ives print, simple touches add to the already festive space.

My Christmas Home - Day 6: The Tablescape. Inspired by the Sugar Plum Fairy and Babes in Toyland 🍭 this sweet motif is present in the twinkling pastel accents and the frosty iridescent glass trees. The room feels one part fantasy, one part nostalgia and wholly special.
