One of my favorite parts of designing my own home, and this GORGEOUS table, was getting to weave in deeply personal details throughout the space.

For my dining table, I collaborated with to create a live-edge white oak piece inspired by the aerial views of the Okavango Delta in Botswana 🌍. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and now I get a daily reminder of that magic ✨ every time I walk by this table.

The etched detail makes it feel even more meaningful and completely one of a kind.

Let's talk about one of my favorite aspects of the design process: selecting and designing accessories. To be more specific, ceramics!

This incredible dark-red vase was handcrafted by LA-based ceramicist BZIPPY.

We approach accessories the same way we approach art: each piece is chosen with intention. It adds depth, texture, and a sense of individuality. And how cool is it to source something truly one of a kind?

Every detail matters.

We fondly call this the "party shower".

When our clients purchased their Bethesda home, the bathroom was… not to code. Exposed wiring, a makeshift sauna, and layers of novice contractor decisions we had to completely undo.

We took it back to the studs and started fresh.

On top of renovating this bathroom the right way, we strongly pushed for natural light in the design, which ended up making a huge difference in this oversized shower. In fact, this is the biggest shower we've ever designed.

Now it's flooded with natural light and ready to party!

Art is never an afterthought in our design.

At the beginning of our projects, part of our process is to walkthrough the Lorla Studio art lookbook. Art grounds the space in something personal from the very beginning and often times serves as an anchor for a room's design.

For this West Village apartment, we partnered with Vancouver-based Taryn Brown on a custom commission. The piece lives seamlessly within the design and truly elevated the space.
