Herb for FEBRUARY 2018: Lemon Balm/The Moon
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is one of my favorite perennial herbs! Its fragrance is delightful while it packs a strong punch of benefits. It is often used in teas, for cooking and has been known to: protect against heart and liver disease, function as a natural antibacterial agent, improve mood, concentration and sleep by treating anxiety and insomnia as well as melancholia; aid in digestion, fight herpes naturally and even be useful against diabetes!
It’s very easy to grow (needs moist, well-drained soil and full/partial sunlight) and it’s not unusual to need to trim and harvest it several times during its growing season.
Spiritual insight:
“Hidden Messages” – For the month of February, and only for some of you (because this is a general read) there will be hidden messages or meanings that will come to light. Things that have been hidden will be revealed – or even anything that has been lost, you will find.
Affirmation for this month:
“My emotions are rivers to the Ocean of Peace. I flow with the rhythm of Life.”
Have a Happy, happy February!!!
