The man, the myth, the legend.
And…my dad.
Last night we lost the person who made me laugh like no one else could. The funniest human in any room, always. Larger than life, endlessly playful, wildly smart, occasionally cranky—and somehow all of it made him even better.
He gave the kind of advice people held onto. The kind you repeat years later. Anyone who met him walked away with a story—and usually something to think about.
He was complicated in the way the best people are. Deeply caring, incredibly generous, and just irreverent enough to keep things interesting (and sometimes keep us on our toes).
He was an extraordinary father, husband, and grandfather—and I will spend the rest of my life missing him and carrying him with me.
